Nathan Stromer: In 2006, Joffe, an associate analyst at Moody's, gave Stromer information about a potential takeover bid for Auckland International Airport Limited and another takeover of Alinta Infrastructure Holdings Limited, according to Nine News Australia. Joffe had knowledge in 2006 of Babcock and Brown considering a potential takeover bid of Auckland Airport Limited and passed it onto his friend of a decade, Stromer. Daniel Joffe, 38, and Nathan Stromer, 36, were placed on two-year-and-three-month and two-year good behaviour bonds respectively in the NSW Supreme Court on Friday. Stromer then invested $50,000 and bought 29,580 shares in the company in August 2006, the court heard. In November 2006, Stromer bought 962,000 contracts in Alinta Infrastructure Holdings after Joffe told him about a proposed takeover. In September, Joffe heard from a colleague that "all is not going to plan for B&B". After this, Stromer placed an order with his broker to sell his shares in Auckland Airport Limited and made a $350 profit.
