Then the judges chose a winner. Seven teams, each composed of two to five people, were raring to go. First prize: A chance for the winning team to be invited into a support program for early-stage ventures run by "Accelerate Cambridge," a special unit of Cambridge University Judge Business School. Accelerate Cambridge runs Startup Weekends on a wide variety of themes, ranging from biotech to edutech. The program director, Hanadi Jabado, is an angel investor and serial entrepreneur - and the event main facilitator.
