Relay Rides and Car Club London

Ford: The automaker last month announced a similar on-demand pilot called GoDrive in London, according to Euro News. Ford is entering the car-sharing field more than three years after U.S. competitor General Motors Co announced a partnership with San Francisco-based Relay Rides. Ford finance arm is launching pilot car-sharing programs with Getaround in the United States and easy Car Club in London, Ford Chief Executive Officer Mark Fields said Tuesday evening. Like Getaround and easy Car Club, Relay Rides connects vehicle owners with other consumers looking for short-term rentals in what is called peer-to-peer sharing. Several European automakers operate or have an interest in car-sharing firms, including Daimler AG car2go, BMW AG Drive Now and Volkswagen AG Quicar and Greenwheels. Individuals typically connect via mobile apps on smartphones. (news.financializer.com). As reported in the news.
