Tokyo stocks got off to a firmer start after European and U.S. equities rallied on Thursday. Tokyo stocks’ topside, however, was heavy as investors retreated to the sidelines ahead of a Greek debt repayment that falls due on Friday and U.S. government jobs data for May to be released on Friday.
