The brokers added, speculation has been rekindled that the U.S. Federal Reserve may soon raise interest rates. The yen weakening against the dollar also pushed up the Tokyo market on hopes for additional monetary easing by the Bank of Japan, which would lead to a wider interest rate gap between Japan and the United States, brokers said.
