Advertising -- which has led results in recent quarters -- rose 3.6%, public relations climbed 4.4%, specialty communications grew 6.2% and customer relationship management edged 1.6% higher. Foreign exchange rates shaved 1.3% off the top line. Omnicom shares, inactive premarket, have risen 9.5% so far this year.
