Non-Market Economy: Economy and World

non-market economy: After December 11, 2016, China was to be treated automatically as a market economy and certain trade barriers were supposed to be lifted, according to Deutsche Welle. The world's largest economy wants to be accorded market economy status MES at last and be on an equal footing with the rest of the world. The condition stipulated by Article 15 that China could be treated as a non-market economy for 15 years after joining the World Trade Organization WTO no longer holds. However, politicians in Beijing were hoping that the process would be smoother. Customs duties have not been removed. Nothing so far has changed officially. (news.financializer.com).
