p index: Britain's FTSE 100 gained 0.4 per cent to 7,141, according to The Toronto Star. Wall Street was set to open lower after rebounding in the previous session. In Europe, Germany's DAX fell back 0.2 per cent to 11,558 and the CAC 40 in France slipped 0.1 per cent to 5,135. Futures for the S&P 500 index fell 0.4 per cent and Dow futures lost 0.2 per cent.
