AMD's stock AMD, -0.71% jumped 2.5% in active trading to close above the 33 mark for the first time since May 2006. Trading volume rose 97.7 million shares, making AMD's stock the most actively traded on major U.S. exchanges. The stock had traded above 33 intraday five times in September 2018, reaching a high of 34.14 on Sept. 13, but could only close as high as 32.72 on Sept. 14.
